I think it might be better to remove the portion in parenthesis for, "The same permission flags apply: r - read, w - write, and x - execute (on files, search for directories)" and just change it to, "The same permission flags apply: r - read, w - write, and x - execute." I believe the intent is to indicate that execute permission has a different meaning when put on a file versus when put on a directory. This also applies to a lesser extent to read and write permissions. If we keep the parenthesis, I would suggest changing it to "(files can be run as scripts; directories can be searched/accessed)".
In the third paragraph below "Access control list concepts", the last sentence was confusing to me. I had to read it several times before I understood it. I think the last sentence could be clearer if it was changed to, "Similar to normal file access rules, named users and named groups will each need to have a regular ACL set on the parent directory or execute permission for others needs to be set on the parent directory in order for them to have access."
