Description: I really don't like how the LVM (ch.7) and the advanced Stratis and VDO (ch.8) topics of the RHEL8 coursebook got re-implemented as a single chapter in the RHEL 9 early access version.
These used to be two strong chapters where students had an opportunity to learn 3 technologies: LVM, Stratis and VDO. Each had individual lectures with guided exercises plus two labs for practice. There was actually a chance to learn what was covered.

Now, what do we have in the RHEL9 version? LVM got squeezed into a single section and exercise where the more advanced steps are covered as well. OK, this may just work, although it will be definitely more challenging for student that are new to the technology. But the second section titled 'Manage Layered Storage' is definitely a mess. Every storage-related technology under the sun is dumped into a theoretical section without the chance of getting proper coverage or hands-on practice. The exercise only focuses on Stratis and the Lab only reviews LVM.
If we are under time constraint then just pick Stratis and properly dedicate this second section to it. Compare it to LVM and explain why customers may want to choose Stratis instead. Definitely drop VDO if there won't be an exercise for it. Don't mention RAID, LUKS, SAN components, multipath etc. if you are not going to teach them properly. We are a hands-on training service, not Wikipedia. We have other courses where those advanced topics are covered.
And fix the Stratis diagram. A pool uses multiple distinct drives. Just copy/paste it from the RHEL8 version.
