      Workaround:

Description: Description: bastion delegates backend.lab.example.com but does not delegate the reverse zones. This leads to the fact that the caching nameserver can resolve forward (like dig servera.backend.lab.example.com) but not reverse (like dig -x 192.168.0.10). I did a lot of troubleshooting on the nameservers i set up, before looking at the bastion, which i see as a given, which should just work. My suggestion: * please ensure reverse delegation as well. as a minimum: please add a note explaining that this will not work.
