Description: As the subject suggests, I feel very strongly that we should point students to on-the-system resources whenever possible. It's great that the book covers skip-networking, port, and bind-address, but what about everything else? Do students have to memorize those? (What if they forget them?)
So we don't have a man page for my.cnf, but still, I think it'd be a good idea to mention that you can get a dump of all the possibilities with /usr/libexec/mysqld --help --verbose.
