But steps 3 and 4 are really bad.
One reads:

Replace load_balancer_ip_addr in the templates/apache_firewall_rules.yml.j2 template with a lookup plug-in that retrieves the IP address of the load_balancer variable. 

The problematic part is the the IP address of the load_balancer variable

I consider myself a very experienced Ansible user with years on the field. When I read this statement, I try to find the variable load_balancer. Of course there is no IP associated with it. One has to make the wild guess that the author asks students to use the dig filter, just because we mentioned it in the chapter!

Obviously, we need to directly instruct students to use this filter, or to "retrieve the IP address of the hostname defined in the variable load_balancer from the DNS servers".
