Workaround: Simply adding in the instruction to run 'sudo vim custom.fact' will fix the issue.

Description: Description: In the data-facts lab, at the time of creation of the custom.facts file on servera, it should be documented that you need to run the file creation as sudo in order for the file to create otherwise you run into permission denied errors. Simply adding in the instruction to run 'sudo vim custom.fact' will fix the issue.
