      Workaround:

Description: Still today, I see a lot of students using vi.

How about we add a note that calling vi as a normal user calls vim, and calling vi as root calls vim minimal.

We could briefly tell students about the differences or we could just say that there is a difference and that usage of vim is encouraged.

Either way we don't want a newbie taking training and learning about vim, and then back at work, some Unix dinosaur comes along and tells them to use vi.
