Workaround: Instructors can mention that the behavior here has changed. (Yeah, not a great workaround.)

Description: Chapter 15, page 394-5, "Installing Red Hat Enterprise Linux" bridgehead, discusses how the virtual consoles on tty1 through tty7 are used by Anaconda to report issues and display logs of progress during the installation process. This is essentially the same as RHEL 6 and before.

However, the release notes for RHEL 7.1 (notes that the behavior here has changed, as follows:

The installer no longer uses multiple consoles to display logs. Instead, all logs are in tmux panes in virtual console 1 (tty1). To access logs during the installation, press Ctrl+Alt+F1 to switch to tmux, and then use Ctrl+b X to switch between different windows (replace X with the number of a particular window as displayed at the bottom of the screen).

To switch back to the graphical interface, press Ctrl+Alt+F6.

It's unclear to me whether this change in behavior is new in RHEL 7.1 (probably), or is documenting existing RHEL 7 behavior. In any event, this needs to be addressed in future RHEL 7 maintenance updates of this course. The new behavior should be confirmed.
