Section Title: | Guided Exercise: Make Links Between Files |
Issue description
Description:
In the Guided Exercise for creating hard and symbolic links, the instructions ask learners to run the ls -l command in Steps 2.1 and 2.3. However, the outputs shown in both steps include inode numbers, which appear only when using ls -li. This may confuse learners who expect the output of ls -l to match what's shown.
Steps Affected:
- Step 2.1: Output includes inode number (25174985) despite instruction being ls -l
- Step 2.3: Again, output includes inode number for both files
Suggested Fix:
Update the outputs in Steps 2.1 and 2.3 to match the actual results of ls -l without inode numbers, or update the instructions to use ls -li if inode verification is the intent.
Impact:
This inconsistency can mislead learners or raise doubts about the correctness of their commands during practice.
