Section Title: | Lab: Configure and Manage a Server |
Issue description
Description: In the lab grading process for rhcsa-rh124-review3, the configurations for PermitRootLogin and PasswordAuthentication are correctly set in /etc/ssh/sshd_config, as confirmed by running grep on the file. However, the lab grading system fails the checks for both root login and password authentication settings, returning a 255 exit code instead of the expected 0.
Despite the correct settings, it seems that the sshd service might not be reloading properly, or there could be an issue with the grading system's expectations. Further investigation is needed to determine whether this is a configuration issue or a lab environment bug.
Steps to reproduce:
- Set PermitRootLogin no and PasswordAuthentication no in /etc/ssh/sshd_config.
- Reload the sshd service using systemctl reload sshd.
- Run the lab grading command: lab grade rhcsa-rh124-review3.
- Observe that the evaluation fails with the exit code 255, despite correct configurations.
