      Issue description

When attempting to log in to the Cockpit interface as the root user with the password "redhat," the login fails with an error message indicating "Wrong user name or password." However, logging in with the student username and password works correctly. This discrepancy needs to be addressed to ensure that users can log in with the expected credentials. This issue has been tested on both Chrome and Firefox browsers.

      Steps to reproduce:

      1. Navigate to the Cockpit interface at https://servera.lab.example.com:9090 using either Chrome or Firefox.
      2. Enter root as the username.
      3. Enter redhat as the password.
      4. Click "Log in."
      5. Observe the error message "Wrong user name or password."

      Workaround:

      Expected result:

The root user should be able to log in with the password "redhat."
