Section Title: | Lab: Remote Execution |
Issue description
While the lab just requests the student to "Register the serverb system to the Finance organization by using the FinanceServers activation key.", the `lab grade` script tries to look for the katello-ca-consumer rpm, which is a step of the "Katello CA Consumer" registration method, which according to the Product Documentation of the Satellite 6.11 itself (here is a deprecated method.
If a delegate utilizes the "Global Registration" method (the curl-based one), all the requests in the lab are successfully accomplished, but the lab grade script gives a failure.
Steps to reproduce:
Hosts > Register Host
Organization: "Finance"
Insecure: *checked
Setup REX: "Yes (override)"
Setup Insights: "No (override)"
Activation Keys: "Finance Servers"
*GENERATE
- Execute the resulting command line on serverb
Workaround:
After successfully registering the host with "global registration", also run the following to install the katello-ca-consumer rpm:
*dnf localinstall http://satellite.lab.example.com/pun/katello-ca-consumer-latest.noarch.rpm*
Expected result:
Being the "katello ca consumer" registration method flagged as Deprecated in Satellite 6.11 Product Documentation, I would expect its use to be discouraged. I would've expect any task in the course to be at least registration-method-agnostic.
