This ticket tracks investigating whether we could take a "bifurcated" approach to alerting, such that alerts a broadcast to both quay engineering and AppSRE for a while so quay can "shadow" AppSRE in its support of quay.io now.

The current thinking is that we'd need to somehow change the Alert manager routing tree, and not change pager duty itself.
