      Description

“In order for dev users to troubleshoot their applications using distributed tracing, we as the Observability UI Team need to allow the distributed tracing plugin to be accessible from the dev perspective in the OCP console”

      Goals & Outcomes

      Product Requirements:

      • A new Traces tab is present on the dev perspective Observe menu

      Engineering/Data Analytics Requirements:

      • A user with access to specific namespaces is able to see traces only for those allowed namespaces. If the user has no access the span is displayed as blocked

      Documentation

      [If available, provide links]

      Open Questions

      • How does the API handles the cases for users with access to some but not all the namespaces involved in a trace
