Description
There appears to be traffic coming from mesh2-ingress-fed-export into non-federated Bookinfo ProductPage in mesh1-system.
Configuration setup (federated bookinfo and non-federated bookinfo both in the same SMCP):
- Create (2) AWS OCP 4.7 clusters
- Install OSSM 2.1 operators on both clusters
- Run Federation demo script on the two OCPs
https://github.com/maistra/istio/blob/c638d4224e5c126a2487c6e59ee2687ca6e1ee3d/pkg/servicemesh/federation/example/config-poc/install.sh - Generate traffic to federated bookinfo
- Deploy non-federated Bookinfo on cluster-1, adding the bookinfo namespace to the same SMMR in mesh1-system SMCP
- Open Kiali on OCP cluster-1 in mesh1-system namespace, and then graph both the federated and non-federated bookinfo applications.
- ** Note that mesh2-ingress-fed-export shows traffic going to Productpage in non-federated bookinfo (ref the snapshot)
Is this a supported configuration? If yes, then why is there traffic from mesh2-ingress-fed-export to non-federated Bookinfo ProductPage?
