      Just to be clear about what this subtask is for: once the parent bug has been fixed, the following change that skips the test the bug makes fail needs to be reverted:

      https://gitlab.cee.redhat.com/ci-framework/ci-framework-jobs/-/merge_requests/1577

      (The description below is from this Jira's previous life as a CIX ticket.)

      A cinder (with ceph) component job for RHOSO 18 started failing on January 14th:
      https://sf.apps.int.gpc.ocp-hub.prod.psi.redhat.com/zuul/t/components-integration/builds?job_name=component-cinder-edpm-rhel9-rhoso18.0-crc-ceph&skip=0

      Only one test is failing: tempest.api.volume.admin.test_encrypted_volumes_extend.EncryptedVolumesExtendAttachedTest.test_extend_attached_encrypted_volume_luksv1

      Unfortunately the logs of the last successful run are not available. I asked cinder people to take a look and they noticed (thanks Alan Bishop) that "ceph extend encrypted volume failure is happening in nova at libvirt laye"r, here are:

      • the excerpt from tempest.log (see alo the attached file)

        Body: b'{"instanceAction":

        Unknown macro: {"action"}

        ]}}'

      People from compute DFG (thanks rh-ee-bgibizer and rhn-gps-jparker) pointed to a possible change in qemu.
