The job should contain the following steps (high-level):

• Spin up infrastructure with:
  • OSP 17.2 Standalone with ironic enabled
  • 2x Virtual Baremtal (sushy-emulator on controller node)
  • OCP (crc)
• A test workload nova instance on Ironic baremetal on the OSP 17.2 cloud
• Deploy controlplane on OCP (crc)
• Adopt ironic

There are scripts and ansible automation in https://github.com/openstack-k8s-operators/data-plane-adoption which was developed to do the test workload deployment + adoption and post adoption tests/validation.

Acceptance Criteria:

• Enable adoption in the baremetal/ironic component job
• Enable ironic scenario tempest tests
• Validate deployment, api and scenario tests are running and passing
