Epic Goal

The goal of this epic is to first generate some performance profiles of OLM to identify specific scalability problems, then use those measurements to drive short-term improvements, especially to resident set size. Where there are not short term solutions to those problems, we should create follow up epics to track improvements.

Rudimentary continuous profiling will be enabled in order to reduce the time required to troubleshoot scalability concerns that are raised via bugs and support requests.

The remaining tasks under this epic track specific optimizations proposed as a result of analyzing profiles from OLM components.
