Epic Goal

To increase contributions and collective team knowledge, this is the epic to capture the GitHub issues as the upstream contribution to kubebuilder project.

Why is this important?

• kubebuilder project is a core component of the upstream operator-sdk project. 
• We want to move features from being specifically in SDK to upstream projects to gain more impacts and also act as a good citizen of the Open Source Community.
• We want to contribute upstream and also track it in JIRA to give visibility to what is being worked on (at least at a high level).   

Acceptance Criteria

• CI - MUST be running successfully with tests automated
• Release Technical Enablement - Provide necessary release enablement details and documents.
