Overview

The OpenShift Console provides a "Developer Catalog" which enables the user to create apps and services based on Operator backed services and templates. The entries are provided by operators, helm repositories, event sources, etc.

Cluster admins can provide additional templates by installing operators or adding helm repositories. But the catalog filter navigation (All Items, Languages, Databases, Middleware, ...) is currently hard coded. We want enable the cluster admins to add, modify, delete (or hide) this catalog filter navigation.

Acceptance Criteria

1. As an admin, I want to add a new category, or subcategory to the category component in the Developer Catalog & associated catalogs
2. As an admin, I want to remove one or more of the pre-defined categories in the filter by category component in the Developer Catalog & associated catalogs
   1. If a catalog entry has a label which matches one of the pre-defined categories that has been removed, it will be shown in Other and All Items
3. As a developer, I should be able to see any catalog items which have no tags or has tags that don't match an existing category/subcategory in both Other and All Items
