Problem

With the quick start extension capability, the number of quick starts will increase significantly. Our current Quick Start page doesn't support any features to help with scalability.

Goal

Provide general features on the Quick Start page to help with scalability.

Why is it important?

This is important, because we anticipate the number of quick starts to increase significantly, and want to provide a better experience for users to be able to discover and locate quick starts quickly and efficiently.

Use cases

1. As an admin or developer, I want to be able to search for a quick start by name
2. As an admin or developer, I want to be able to search for a quick start by a piece of the description
3. As an admin or developer, I want to be able to filter all the quick starts by a "type/category" such as Mongo or Database

Acceptance criteria

1. Provide support to enable links with hints to access items in the Quick Start itself
   1. Perspective Switcher
   2. Navigation items in Admin perspective
   3. Navigation items in Dev perspective
   4. Masthead items ( Web Terminal, Help icon )
2. Enhance Quick Start page
   1. Filter by name/description (input field)
   2. Filter by category (align with categories component in Catalog OR just faceted filter for now) <stretch if we can't get support>
      1. Need a label mechanism – to allow filtering by type. Set of recommended labels to create categories from (should match categories in Dev Catalog, OperatorHub?)
3. Visual improvements to the Quick Start card & include it on both +Add and the Cluster Overview
   1. Implement UX recommendations for the Quick Start on the +Add
   2. Include the Quick Start card on both the +Add page and the Cluster Overview

Notes

Here's an example of how GCP provides links to hints to access items. Clicking on the link in the Quick Start provides a mechanism to highlight the nav item/masthead icon. Clicking on the "highlighted item" navigates appropriately, clicking anywhere else causes the highlight to disappear.
