Feature Goal
- To provide a simple and safe mechanism to manage RPM packages with MachineConfigPools.
Why is this important?
- Customers have demonstrable requirements to run software on their worker nodes that is not shipped in the RHEL CoreOS image.
- While the Enterprise Linux ecosystem is increasingly embracing containerization, there is a long way to go in some areas.
- We must give customers the ability to adapt OpenShift to their environment and its requirements.
- However we can improve RPM hotfix delivery turnaround is a win for customers.

MCO-122 - Install/remove 3rd party RPM & yum repo –
