Overview

Redfish implementation requirements for Metal³, used in the IPI installer and the Machine API for OpenShift on baremetal, comply with the DMTF specification but the specification can be implemented in different forms.

There are examples of hardware vendors that implement it in their firmware in a way that's not fully compatible with Metal³.

We want to publish upstream for hardware vendors to consume how Metal³ implements the specification to guarantee compatibility with new firmware releases.
