Goal & Overview:
The goal is to document the expansion of the agent provisioning flow as a Tech-preview in version 4.15, enabling support for a wider range of machines beyond bare metal, this will involve updating the documentation to reflect this change. It's important to clarify that this is not a development change but rather an expansion in the scope of the existing documentation.
A new section will be added to the documentation, specifically addressing the Tech-preview of agent provisioning for non-bare metal machines. This section will include:
- A clear statement that this is a Tech-preview feature and may be subject to changes based on user feedback and further development.
- Known limitations or constraints, such as the necessity for booting from an ISO and the lack of BMH automation for non BM agents.
The expanded capabilities will be introduced as a Tech-preview in version 4.15. This approach allows users to explore and test the new features in a non-production setting and provide feedback for future improvements.
Maintaining Current Baremetal Documentation:
The existing documentation for bare metal provisioning using the agent will remain intact and unchanged. It will continue to serve as the primary guide for bare metal environments.
