XCMSTRAT-371 - HCP: Guest clusters supporting up to 500 worker nodes
-
0% To Do, 0% In Progress, 100% Done
As part of implementing the XCMSTRAT-371 feature as iterative fashion currently backend support the number of nodes across all node pools in an HCP cluster to 180 nodes.
Currently the node limit from OCM UI is <=51 nodes in an HCP cluster: https://issues.redhat.com/browse/OCMUI-1022
For HCP clusters, the values can range between 90, 180 250 and 500 (pending work as of 8/8/2024)
User stories:
1. As a user, I want the UI to prevent me from requesting more than 180 250 nodes when creating a new HCP cluster.
2. As a user, I want the UI to not give options that would cause the cluster to go over the maximum number of nodes(180 250 ) when editing (aka scaling) an existing machine pool.
3. As a user, I want the UI to not give options that would cause the cluster to go over the maximum number of nodes when adding a new machine pool.
Update Sep 24, 2024 : 180 limit has moved to 250.
