Proposed title of this feature request
Distributed tracing Demo in Partner Training Portal
What is the nature and description of the request?
This feature consists of creating a demo under demo.redhat.com for SAs and customers to understand what distributed tracing is, how to install distributed tracing and the benefits it can bring to troubleshoot issues.
Normally , the Partner Training Portal (PTP) team requires:
- A narrative script that an SA can use to learn and as a crutch to deliver the demo.
- It shall have verbiage and screenshots.
- A description and screenshot of the demo for demo.redhat.com
- Until their new-and-improved demo presentation system is done, we're doing old format of "bookbag" (asciidoc) and/or google docs.
- A video of the demo being delivered is also super useful to SAs.
- Slides to present this.
- Tests for the actual demo (validation scripts or cypress.io test) are most welcome, but not strictly required.
Apart from that, we need to add a demo application with, potentially:
- Auto instrumentation
- Traces
- A failure that showcases where an issue is found
Example https://demo.redhat.com/catalog/babylon-catalog-prod?item=enterprise.open-hybrid-cloud.prod
Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements)
To understand how distributed tracing can be installed, and how it can help troubleshoot issues in complex scenarios.
