We would like to improve the way Network Observability Operator is advertised in OCP Console and we would love to adopt a similar approach than Openshift Lightspeed.Currently, you have to install netobserv to get the Network Traffic menu entry under Observe (see the screen below)Would it be possible to have this page all the time with a summary and a button bringing the user to the installation page of the operator when it's not installed ? * that page could be renamed to Networking if it makes more sense

      • it will have a summary to explain the benefits to the customers
      • all the details such as resources consumption will be handled into the operator installation description which means there will be no future code changes in console repo

Check if possible to have new dedicated pages in networking-console-plugin

Currently the console plugin is installed through the operator reconcile loop tied to the FlowCollector resource.

We need to change this logic so it is installed through the CSV, ie. at the same time as the operator itself.

All views that require the FlowCollector to be installed will be disabled, which is to say all current views, but the new one to be create via NETOBSERV-1942
