      Story:

The MCD contains several conditional blocks and logic specific to RHEL9/8. Before we can fully embrace RHEL10/CentOS10 (OKD), we need to investigate these conditionals to understand their purpose and determine if they should also apply to RHEL10/CentOS10, require modification, or are RHEL9/8-exclusive.

      Goals:

      • The goal of this spike is to discover and define the scope of the work required to make the MCD compatible with both RHEL9 and RHEL10/CentOS10 streams.
      • Revisit the conditionals to evaluate if Fedora ones are still required given that OKD uses CentOS Stream.
