Git-versioned projects not building when deployed on OpenShift

      • Imported a project from github (I used https://github.com/aerogear/as-quickstarts)
      • Open the OpenShift wizard
      • Create a new application on OpenShift and try to merge it with this existing project
      • Finish the wizard

      Result:

      • Not able to push to the remote repo
      • Publishing does the trick, but doesn't trigger the Maven build.
      • After reaching the application's url gives me a blank screen.

      But git project (jboss-kithensink) from [git://github.com/openshift/kitchensink-example.git] works fine. What's the difference? Probably their repo layout.
