At the moment users must use autopart to generate two partitions when they use the bootc kickstart command. One partition is used for the /boot partition and one partition is used for the rest of the system. We want to enable more disk partitioning that is more complex than autopart's defaults:
- User has three partitions: /, /boot, and /var (These are the only mount points that bootc supports)
- User has one partition for everything
- User chooses to format the partitions with a different filesystem than autopart would choose
- User has preexisting partitions that they want to preserve alongside the bootc install.
- Verify with bootc team/Colin that this covers the extent of the feature request
