    Description

      Description of problem:

      OpenShift GitOps flooding Etcd with "OperationCompleted" events

      $ grep -F 'OperationCompleted' gitops_events.txt | wc -l 5863

      Meanwhile, we have found that there is a similar fixed issue [1]  whereby "unchanged Application" events were flooding Etcd: [1]. However,  as you can see, in our case, the "OperationCompleted" events are much more numerous.

      $ grep -F 'unchanged Application' gitops_events.txt | wc -l
      1684
