At 3.0, we launched the Proxy Operator straight into GA. It ought to have gone into the stable channel, but owing to a oversight it got released into channel alpha (as well as 3.0.x and 3.x channels). It ought to have gone into the stable channel (and 3.0.x and 3.x channels).

We should change from alpha to stable for 3.1.

There's no impact on a customer who chooses 3.0.x or 3.x, but any customer who took alpha will need to manually switch channel. This will need to go into the release notes.
