[code] Recommended extensions stuck on "Installing" status in extensions view after successful installation using embedded plugin registry

      = Microsoft Visual Studio Code - Open Source recommended extensions stuck in "Installing" status

      There is a known issue with automatic installation of the recommended Microsoft Visual Studio Code - Open Source extensions. After you install the extensions using the embedded plugin registry, the extensions are stuck in "Installing" status in the Extensions menu.

      * Refresh the workspace tab in the browser.

      Description of problem:

      Automatic installation of extensions is failing for the Quarkus, Lombok and Ansible samples.
      If clicked on the extension refresh button, you can see that the extensions are stuck in Installing state.

      Workaround
      Refreshing the tab resolves the issue.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Start a Quarkus, Lombok or Ansible Sample workspace.
      2. Check and see if extensions are installed and activating.

      Actual results:

      Extensions are stuck in installing state.

      Refreshing the tab resolves the issue.

      Additional information

      This issue had not been reproduced on DS 3.8.0.RC-08-03 deployed to Dev Sandbox staging which used https://open-vsx.org plugin registry.

      This issue had been reproduced on DS 3.9.0.RC-10-04 deployed to Dev Sandbox staging which used https://open-vsx.org plugin registry.
