Ansible serves an important strategic framework for Red Hat as well as IBM. IBM Z Systems has invested heavily in creating and certifying Ansible collections for z/OS: https://ibm.github.io/z_ansible_collections_doc/index.html 

Being able to run playbooks directly from CodeReady Workspaces would provide a great productivity tool as well as another showcase for CRW where a zero-install developer setup can provide big value.

Eclipse Che has a plugin for Ansible, which is based on Debian images:

To use it in a certified CRW environment those base images would have to be provided using certified UBI images.
