Currently, the official procedure differs between RHEL8 and RHEL9.
- To install virtctl on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 9, Linux, Windows, and MacOS operating systems, you download and install the virtctl binary file. - To install virtctl on RHEL 8, you enable the OpenShift Virtualization repository and then install the kubevirt-virtctl package.
Documentation tasks
- Update the documentation
- Add a release note in 4.21 release notes that RHEL8 is deprecated and removed.
- Also review the 4.21 documentation and determine whether there is any additional/related content that needs to be removed from the documentation.
