      Goal

Let cloud providers do necessary verification of OpenShift Virtualization on their side, with minimal or no help from Red Hat. The idea is that OCP Virt will provide instructions/requirements/automatic means of verifying whet OCP Virt can generally run in a given cloud.

The work will most likely be needed on Storage and potentially on Network side.

The goal of GA epic is to be able to run relevant subset/full set of Tier2 tests if it's possible.

      User Stories

      • As a CNV Product Manager and Engineering manager, I want to have less load for certifying various clouds on OCP Virt
      • As Cloud provider, I want to have easy way to be able to say that my product is OCP Virt ready/validated.
        • I want to install OpenShift Virtualization, run a command line, wait a while, and receive feedback that it works well on my cloud, or a clear report stating what is missing.
        • The executed tests should include KubeVirt's Comformace tests, maybe more
      • As an OpenShift administrator, I would to interpret the results of the verification tool on my own, wit no Red Hat's assistance.
      • As an OpenShift administrator with no Block support, I would like to opt out from Block storage tests.
      • As an OpenShift administrator I would like to create one or two NADs and provide them as argument to the verification tool to test L2 connectivity. I would like to be able to opt out of these tests if my environment does not support them.

      Non-Requirements

      • UI - this will be run via command line (Update: there will be UI after all)
