Some of our existing networking options will not work well with CCLM. We should capture the limitations and recommendations.

      • Linux bridge CNI - should work well today. Assuming the underlying network is stretched by the fabric between both clusters, then using bridge CNI with or without a VLAN should allow the same level of "seamlessness" for CCLM as for regular LM.
      • SR-IOV CNI - ditto
      • OVN localnet - this will work (and we tested it), but it will not work well. Since LM synchronization in OVN K is done through the cluster-local control plane, it won't work cross cluster, which will likely result in a downtime of up to 30 seconds. We'd like to resolve this issue through CNV-64466
      • OVN layer2 (primary UDN) - this will not work for two reasons. One, it has the same issue as localnet. Two, we are unable to stretch the layer2 network between clusters. This will be resolved with OCPSTRAT-1744 CNV-63123 and CNV-63412
