Goal
As a follow-on to OVN Kubernetes support for BGP as a routing protocol for User Defined Network (Segmentation), integrate BGP with EVPN support, a common data center networking fabric that relies on BGP.
This epic is a placeholder for the future testing and docs of this integration under CNV. The main development is tracked via OCPSTRAT-1744.
Whether CNV's own TP of UDN's EVPN will be included in 4.21 depends on the timing of the CORENET feature - if there will be enough time to complete our own integration testing.
User Stories
- As a cluster administrator,
I want to connect a primary UDN into a EVPN network provided by my fabric,
so OCP applications connected to that UDN can communicate with other services on the given EVPN.
