Create the placeholder release notes file in the main branch
For the build to work properly, you must open a separate PR to add a placeholder release notes file to the main branch.
NOTE: There must be one placeholder file per release in the main branch, so you must create a new file. Do not edit an existing placeholder file.
- Create a feature branch based off the main branch.
- Create a new placeholder file for the current release by using the following PR as an example: https://github.com/openshift/openshift-docs/pull/26245. Ensure that the version numbers in the file name, ID, and context match the version that you are working on.
- Save the file.
- Commit your changes to your feature branch and open a PR.
- Request peer review and merge.
