      Regional DR uses VolSync under the covers to sync PV data to the failover cluster. It uses rsync which is only supported for Filesystem mode PVs. Since our recommendation is to use RBD Block volumes we need to cover the gap. An issue (https://github.com/backube/volsync/issues/556) was closed by jstrunk@redhat.com as "Not Planned"

      We need a way to replicate Block PVs even if it's not optimal in order to have a functioning Regional DR setup with the recommended CNV configuration.
