Goal
Provide a document that explains the building blocks of a DR solution on OCP that includes VMs and show how these pieces fit together. This document should show customers how they might implement DR using off-the-shelf components but it should also serve as a reference to storage vendors and other DR software providers on how we see the process working.
User Stories
- As a potential CNV customer, I want to understand the state of OpenShift DR and how it works so that I can choose to migrate to the platform with confidence.
- As a DR software vendor I want to understand how virtual machine DR should work so that I can easily support it in my product.
Non-Requirements
- The procedure outlined in the document is for informational purposes and although we want to make sure it works, it does not need to run in CI.
Notes
- Any additional details or decisions made/needed
