Value Statement

During ACM/MCE upgrades, it's important to distinguish between an install and an upgrade. A flag needs to be passed to the Helm chart values to indicate when the operators are in upgrade mode. Certain resources should be skipped during a fresh install and only applied during an upgrade to ensure correct behavior for customers upgrading their environment.

Definition of Done for Engineering Story Owner (Checklist)

• [] An upgrade flag is passed to the Helm charts.
• [] Upgrade-only resources are deployed during an upgrade.
• [] Upgrade-only resources persist after the upgrade completes.

Development Complete

• The code is complete.
• Functionality is working.
• Any required downstream Docker file changes are made.

Tests Automated

  build.
• [ ] 100% automated unit/function test coverage for new or changed APIs.

Secure Design

• [ ] Security has been assessed and incorporated into your threat model.
