The java.applet API has essentially been obsolete for a while as modern web browsers no longer support Java applets.

      When
a Java class references one of:

      • java.applet.Applet
      • java.applet.AppletStub
      • java.applet.AppletContext
      • java.applet.AudioClip
      • javax.swing.JApplet
      • java.beans.AppletInitializer

      Perform
add a hint advising the removal of such references, as the JDK code will be removed in a later JDK release
