The commands from a script were changed to resolve expressions when offline CLI was introduced (301980ea7779d60b9043f14526f12c50ee2847c7). This should not be done as the expressions should be sent to the server. Standard Maven resource filtering would like work or should at least be made to work.

Another option would be to add a configuration parameter to turn on/off resolving of expressions. If this approach is used it should be off by default.
