Looking at the thread dumps it appears that metrics are being called over and over non stop and accurate size is enabled as well causing it do a full iteration of the cache and store contents on all nodes. I would recommend to not enable accurate size if you want to invoke metrics this often (default is disabled btw) https://infinispan.org/docs/stable/titles/upgrading/upgrading.html#accurate_size_metrics
