OpenTelemetry is complaining about "java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: sun/misc/Unsafe"

    XMLWordPrintable

Details

    Description

When Otel is enabled in a WildFly, it complains – if only once – with this:

WARNING [io.opentelemetry.sdk.trace.internal.JcTools] (default task-1) Cannot create high-performance queue, reverting to ArrayBlockingQueue (java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: sun/misc/Unsafe)

We need to add <module name="jdk.unsupported"/> to the appropriate module.xml
