Final work is currently happening on the Reactive Streams Operators 2.0 specification.

The XP 4.0 freeze is a long time off, so if a newer version of the spec arrives in good time before that, and this RFE is not merged yet, we will upgrade to that. If it has been merged, we'll create a new RFE.
