The description type would encapsulate a service type plus a filter specification. It would be used to describe a service whose location must be derived from a discovery operation, but could also be used as a hash key for caching purposes.

Ideally we would have had a "ServiceDescription" instead of "ServiceType" which would have also included the filter spec. But, there's no way to easily make this change now, so a separate class it shall be.
