GitHub Actions should use merge commit instead of current Pull Request SHA

      Our GitHub Actions are using the checkout action without specifying the ref of the branch to checkout. This could be changed to include the merge commit of the Pull Request so we can always run the actions with the latest changes available from main branch.

       

      This is indeed what the CI does, so at first glance, it makes sense to align the actions on that
