Allow the possibility to read part of the configuration via management API, modify it and add it back under a new id, without knowing the specific details of the resource.
This would allow for example adding a new server group configured exactly as an existing, creating a new resource (datasource, etc.) based on an existing one or even creating a profile based on a given one.
